3 Instant Takeaways

    1. Children are a vulnerable sector. Using Planning Center helps build trust, professionalism and accountability around your kids ministry. Use PCO Checkins for your Sunday School and Nursery management. You can set up a manned hub, a self check-in kiosk, or even a cellphone check-in for parents. Security tags can be printed off with info and specific locations that assure parents that their children are accounted for.
    2. Create actionable lists in Planning Center People. You can customize reports with very specific parameters. For example, you can create a list of parents of children who have checked in at the church in the past but not during the last three months. This mined data can then be turned into an actionable step such as connecting with the parents again.
    3. Save buckets of time with One-Click Grade Promotion. Every year children bump up a grade. While other programs require every child to be manually promoted every year, Planning Center integrated One-Click Grade Promotion to move ALL the children in your entire database up a grade.

This is sponsored content isn’t it? 4 podcast episodes on Planning Center? Aren’t you supposed to disclose that to your audience?

    • Did you get a chance to listen to any of the sessions? I mention on multiple occasions that Planning Center didn’t pay a dime to us for these. Perhaps we should add that to the posts as well.

The thing is, Planning Center is so widely used amongst churches that it just made sense to do a deep dive into fully taking advantage of their software. I actually don’t personally know a single person that works at Planning Center and I don’t think I’ve had any personal interactions with anyone that works at/for the company either.

I just love Planning Center! Moreover, we’ve never taken any money for ads or sponsored content at Pro Church Tools.

P.S. Love your username. Gave me a chuckle. Haha.

I got a chance, but didn’t hear it. Selective listening I guess, my bad, sorry. Thank you for the clarification though, I appreciate it! Hard to get actual good advice or input from the internet these days.

        • I hear you. Everyone is selling something (us included) and it can be hard to know what to trust. Thanks for listening regardless!
